Edit the file name by changing “1” to “2”.

If you do not see the .pptx file extension, do not type it. The file extension will be added for you automatically.

With the file NP_PPT365_2021_CS1-2b_ FirstLastName_2.pptx open, ensure that your first and last name is displayed in the presenter notes on Slide 1.

If the presenter notes do not display your name, delete the file and download a new copy.

PROJECT STEPS

As a new animator for DigiMotion Studio, you are working on a presentation about the basics of digital animation to give to students and others interested in an animation career. Change the design of the presentation as follows to use the company's standard design:

Apply the custom theme from the file Support_PPT365_2021_CS1-2b_DigiMotion.potx to all the slides in the presentation.

Change the theme colors to Red.

Insert a footer as follows to identify the name of the company throughout the presentation:

Include the slide number in the footer.

Enter DigiMotion Studio as the footer text.

Display the footer on all slides except the title slide.

On Slide 1, enter DIGITAL ANIMATION in the title placeholder to provide a title for the presentation.

On Slide 2 ("DIGITAL ANIMATION 101"), insert and format a picture as follows to illustrate the content on the slide:

Use the content placeholder on the left to insert the picture Support_PPT365_2021_CS1-2b_Butterfly.png.

Add a Dark Red, Accent 1 picture border to include a contrasting accent.

With Slide 2 still displayed, increase the indent of the list items "Changes still images" and "Creates the illusion of life" in the bulleted list to use a more logical arrangement.

Remaining on Slide 2, add and modify animations on the slide as follows to make the content more lively:

Remove the animation from the slide title.

Animate the content placeholder on the right using the Fly In entrance animation [Mac Hint – Fly In moderate animation].

Change the direction of the animation to From Right.

Change the Start setting to After Previous so that the bulleted items appear one after the other.

On Slide 3 ("TYPES OF DIGITAL ANIMATION"), format the "2D VECTOR ANIMATION" picture as follows to match the "3D ANIMATION" picture:

Resize the picture to a height of 2.7".

Apply the Drop Shadow Rectangle picture style.

Crop the picture to the Rectangle: Rounded Corners shape from the Rectangles section of the Crop to Shape gallery.

With Slide 3 still displayed, edit the alt text for the "2D VECTOR ANIMATION" picture by changing it to 2D animation to make it more appropriate for the slide.

Remaining on Slide 3, decrease the indent of the list item "2D animation" to display it as a major topic on the slide.

Still on Slide 3, insert a shape as follows to provide information about job availability:

Insert an Arrow: Chevron shape from the Block Arrows section of the shape gallery to the right of the picture [Mac Hint – Pentagon shape].

Resize the shape to a height of 0.7" and a width of 3".

Enter the following text in the shape: Job availability: high

Flip the shape horizontally so that it points to the left.

Apply the Subtle Effect—Dark Red, Accent 1 shape style.

Apply the Offset: Bottom shadow effect from the Outer section of the Shadow gallery.

Use Smart Guides to position the shape as shown in Figure 1.

On Slide 4 ("3D ANIMATION STEPS"), insert SmartArt as follows to make the six steps in creating 3D animation more memorable:

Convert the bulleted list to the Continuous Block Process SmartArt.

Apply the Convex shape effect from the Bevel gallery to the entire SmartArt.

With Slide 4 still displayed, modify and format the text on the bottom of the slide to make it more visually appealing:

Delete the text "3D animation steps" because it repeats the slide title.

Bold the remaining text ("Start rough and add detail.").

Change the font size to 24 points.

Apply the Offset: Bottom shadow text effect from the Outer section of the Shadow gallery.

Remaining on Slide 4, enter the following slide note (including the period) as a reminder to define a term: Splining makes movements smoother.

On Slide 5 ("ANIMATION SOFTWARE"), change the slide layout to Picture with Caption to create more impact with the slide.

Remaining on Slide 5, compress the picture using the E-mail (96 ppi) setting to reduce the file size of the presentation.

On Slide 6 ("CAREER PATHS"), modify the table as follows to complete the content:

Delete the blank row in the table (row 3).

Add a column to the right side of the table.

In row 1 of the new column, type Video as the column heading.

In row 2 of the new column, type 15% as the column data.

Remaining on Slide 6, format the table as follows to improve its appearance:

Apply the Light Style 2—Accent 1 table style.

Select a table style option to apply special formatting to the header row.

Center all of the table content horizontally and vertically.

Align the table in the center of the slide.

With Slide 6 still displayed, fill the wave shape on the right with the picture Support_PPT365_2021_CS1-2b_Games.jpg to balance the slide.

Add a slide to the presentation as follows:

Insert a new slide as Slide 7 using the Title Only layout.

Enter ANIMATION SALARIES as the slide title.

Copy the chart from the presentation Support_PPT365_2021_CS1-2b_Salaries.pptx and paste it in the slide using the destination theme.

On Slide 8 ("GIVE IT A TRY"), use the Thesaurus to replace the word "tutorial" with a more common synonym beginning with the letter "c".

With Slide 8 still displayed, use the content placeholder to insert the video Support_PPT365_2021_CS1-2b_Animation.mp4 to illustrate the topic of the slide.

Remaining on Slide 8, shorten the video and change its settings to make it easy for viewers to play the video as follows:

Trim the video so it ends at 10.000 seconds.

Set the video to start playing Automatically and to Rewind after Playing.

On Slide 9 ("CONTACT US"), rotate the picture of the DigiMotion logo to the left 90° so that the text is oriented horizontally.

Remaining on Slide 9, emphasize the company name instead of the email address as follows:

Change the font color of the text "DigiMotion Studio, LLC" to Dark Red, Accent 1.

Remove the hyperlink from the email address.

Apply the Flash transition from the Subtle section of the Transitions gallery to all the slides in the presentation.

On Slide 1 ("DIGITAL ANIMATION"), create a more dramatic transition for the title slide as follows:

Apply the Ferris Wheel transition from the Dynamic Content section of the Transitions gallery to the title slide only.

Play the Chime sound with the transition.

Change the effect option to From Left.

Change the duration to 3.00 seconds.

Check the Spelling in the presentation to identify and correct any spelling errors. ( Hint: Ignore all proper nouns.)

In Slide Sorter view, your presentation should look like the Final Figure on the following page. Save your changes, close the presentation, and exit PowerPoint. Follow the directions on the website to submit your completed project.
