I suggest reviewing the data collaboratively, including other assessments showing significant growth. We could also consider ways to help our pupils reach grade-level performance in the future. My top priority is maintaining our school's educational integrity while assisting students to thrive honestly.

Scenario 4

Houdini should handle Winston's trust and vulnerability with compassion. Winston should know he's there for him and that his well-being is essential. Mr. Houdini should emphasize Winston's safety and emotional health and discuss confidentiality, explaining that he wants to help but may need to involve the school counselor, principal, or Winston's parents if necessary. Winston should get information from Mr. Houdini about LGBTQ+ support groups inside and outside the school. Finally, he should encourage Winston to have an honest dialogue with his parents, emphasizing that while it may be difficult, it may build understanding and support. Mr. Houdini should lead Winston through this crucial life transition with compassion.

Scenario 5

Ms. Anderson should be concerned about the way she handled the email distribution. She accidentally breached the privacy of Special Education parents and their children by putting all their email addresses on one line without BCC. This violates their confidentiality and may reveal critical program enrolment information.
