This is a dessertation thesis assignment.

Im in starting stage of dessertation and here we Have to write about chapter 2 literature

To start we need to get approval from professor so we have to submit a topic in a format for professor to view and head start the literature.

My selected topic was cybersecurity and attacks but I don’t know the approach so please give me suggested topics then write the topic approval format.

Note: chapter 2 approval should be provided in one day and after approval from professor chapter 2 should be done in a week or less.

After getting approval we can start writing chapter 2.

Proposed Topic: 

· Summarize the proposed topic. (1 – 2 sentences)

· Summarize the topic problem/gap. (1 – 2 sentences) 

· Quantitative: 

The purpose of this Quantitative study is to  (Measure or Assess) the  (list the Theory/Model constructs/variables) on the  IT problem. (1 sentence)

· Qualitative: 

The purpose of this Qualitative study is to  (Describe, Explain or Identify) how  (list the Theory/Model constructs/variables) impact the  IT problem. (1 sentence)

Connection of the topic to the program goals and courses: 

· How will your study add to the body of knowledge? (1 – 2 sentences)

· Discuss the importance of filling the problem/gap. (1 – 2 sentences)

· Quantitative:

a. Discuss the dependent variable(s). What will be measured?

b. Discuss the independent variable(s). How will the data be grouped?

c. How are the dependent and independent variables related? (1 – 2 sentences)

· Qualitative:

a. What variable(s) will be described/explained/identified?

Theoretical Framework/Model/Background: 

· Identify the theoretical framework/model of the study.

· What is your justification for using this theoretical framework/model?   (1 – 2 sentences)

· How does the theoretical framework/model relate to your topic? (1 – 2 sentences)

Population: 

· Who will be your research participants? (1 – 2 sentences)

· Discuss the importance to this population. (1 – 2 sentences)

· How will the data be collected from the participants? (1 – 2 sentences)

Methodology: 

· What is the methodology for the study?

All of your sentences should include in-text citations to prove to the approvers that your information comes from the literature.

Chapter 2 writinng requirements and format

Hello Learners!

I know some of you are working on getting your topics approved for your particular subject areas. However, you must start working on / thinking about your Chapter 2 Literature Review review as soon as you can. The high-level components of the literature review: Chronological, Thematic, Methodological, and Theoretical.  These are not your headings for the sections these represent the content. You will determine the headings for each section. You and I will review your sections at our individual meetings.

Introduction

Topic, problem, the purpose of the dissertation

Search Strategy: Explain the research process used – search results for keywords and journal articles (filters used, publication dates, databases searched).  

Theory/Model/Variables: Overview of theory/model being using and how it evolved.    

Chronological Content

The simplest approach is to trace the development of the topic over time. However, if you choose this strategy, be careful to avoid simply listing and summarizing sources in order. Try to analyze patterns, turning points, and key debates that have shaped the direction of the field. Give your interpretation of how and why certain developments occurred.

Thematic Content

If you have found some recurring central themes that you will continue working with throughout your piece, you can organize your literature review into subsections that address different aspects of the topic. For example, if you are reviewing literature about big data, key themes can include the role of big data analysis in business decision making and strategic goal setting.

Methodological Content

If you draw your sources from different disciplines or fields that use a variety of research methods, you might want to compare the results and conclusions that emerge from different approaches. For example:

· Look at what results have emerged in qualitative/quantitative research

· Discuss how the topic has been approached by empirical versus theoretical scholarship

· Divide the literature into sociological, historical, and cultural sources

Theoretical Content

A literature review is often the foundation for a theoretical framework. You can use it to discuss various theories, models, and definitions of key concepts. You might argue for the relevance of a specific theoretical approach, or combine various theoretical concepts to create a framework for your research.

Student’s Contribution

Tying Theory/Model/Variables, Lit Review, and Testing together. What the student is contributing to the body of knowledge. 

Conclusion

Clear, concise summary of Chapter 2. 

Remember, your Chapter 2 Literature Review must meet the following requirements:

· Quantitative: 40 to 60 pages of scholarly APA literature

· Qualitative: 10,000 to 15,000 words of scholarly APA literature

· 50 to 75 scholarly articles with 85% being scholarly within the last 3 to 5 years
